Latest Toronto Mayoralty Race Poll
14/07/2003
A lot has been going on, but I've been too busy to write about it. I'm sure you've been managing with out me, but I'm disappointed. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on track soon, but work has never been so busy as it has been this summer. The Globe and Mail has released the results of Toronto mayoral election poll carried out for Barbara Hall. Apparently, Barbara Hall leads the pack and also has leads in all parts of the city. Here are the numbers:
  • Barbara Hall, 35%
  • John Nunziata, 15%
  • John Tory, 9%
  • David Miller, 9%
  • Tom Jakobek, 6%
  • Undecided, 27%
I find it surprising to see that Nunziata has established himself as a strong number two. I can only imagine that poll respondents are making their decisions based on name recognition only. Hall and Nunziata are the two candidates that have had the least to say of substance. At the same time, they're the two that likely have the most well-known names. Despite all his hard work, Tory has hardly made a dent compared to the last poll results in May.
